M3Con 2009 Aftermath
Thanks to everyone who dropped by; I had a great time meeting all sorts of different folk. I absolutely appreciate each and every one of you for taking the time. Thanks to the Mangaholix crew for inviting me over, and congratulations for pulling off a fun event three years in a row. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take any pictures of the convention, as much as I wanted to; my digital camera's battery proved uncooperative for the duration of the event. Even if it was working properly, I still wouldn't be able to take pictures as I was quite busy managing the booth. To all those who purchased prints, a big thanks to you guys, I hope you enjoy them! :)

DA Is Broken In My Browser
Browsers, actually. I even installed Google Chrome just to check if it was a Firefox or IE thing, but nope, DA is the only site that doesn't load properly in my browsers. As a result, I can only view other people's journal entries, but not their deviations. All images turn out blank. And the page layouts are all over the place. Thoughts?
Problem solved! Thanks to Nobody for the tip on how to work around my ISP's glitch. :)

Why I Love Print
So I picked up my complimentary copy of ImagineFX Issue 50 today from the Central Post Office. Odd, as the mailman usually delivers all the comp copies directly to my address. Upon opening the parcel, I realized why I had to pick it up from the Post Office. The glossy, laminated, gold-embossed cover certainly made it luxurious (the Post Office people perhaps thought that I was smuggling something expensive and illegal into the country). Artwork presented this way is simply stunning. While I acknowledge the many advantages of online publishing, its reach and multimedia gimmicks, I can safely say that this is one thing that print will always have an edge in. Wow is an inadequate word, but it's the closest reaction I could articulate.

Dragon Age: Origins
Still haven't pulled off that slow-mo finishing move I keep hearing so much about. How do you guys do it? I so want to see it in action, with exploding body parts and spurting blood, a la Fallout 3 finishing blows. Haven't advanced much in terms of story and character levels, as free time constantly evades me. I'm also hoping the game has some sort of katana-looking longsword, like the elven swords in the LOTR movies, although I doubt if I'll ever see one here. Maybe in the sequel?

As always, I hope you're all doing fine. Have a nice day. :)
